Mike Tenney: The Tenney School

The Tenney School

Welcome to The Tenney School. We impact students by tailoring instruction for each student.  With this custom-made educational plan, our school meets the needs of students with diverse academic, emotional, and social needs. Each student is met where they are and accelerated to their highest potential. Our school firmly believes that students who are scheduled for healthy amounts of time one-to-one with their teachers will fully achieve their academic potential.  Teachers who know their students well are better able to leverage strengths, repair weaknesses, hone successful study habits, and develop the cognitive skills of students. Students who have spent time one-to-one with their instructors know better how to approach academics.

Since our founding in 1973 by my parents, George and Judy Tenney, this philosophy of individual student attention has been the foundation of our program and led to the success of our students.  We have seen hundreds of students grow, mature, and develop skills to be successful in school and in life.

Thank you for your interest in learning more about our unique learning program.  I look forward to hearing from you.
